Eating more Omega-3 fatty acids may prevent age related Macular degeneration (AMD), new research shows

A study of over 38,000 women over 10 years found that they were 42% less lightly to develop age related macular degeneration (AMD) if they had an higher intake of Omega 3 fatty acids. You can find these naturally in oily fish like tuna or dark meat fish (salmon, anchovy, mackerel, sardines).

Other eye-friendly nutrients include certain antioxidants, such as vitamin C, vitamin E, zeaxanthin, and zinc. Previous research has linked low intake to a greater AMD risk.
